Would somebody please make copies of this article and send to Dadeville's mayor and each councilman. If the Fed gravy train dries up, we won't have to worry about that stupid ethanol plant--sorry Mr. Chipper Mill/Dadeville Councilman guy.

I sent the link to a staff writer at The Outlook. E-mails of the article have been sent to the Lake Martin Economic Development Alliance and the Lake Martin Industrial Development Authority. Assuming that mayors, councilmen and commissioners don't read this forum, I will take your suggestion and send them copies.

Thanks, you're way ahead of me. Does anyone know if the Dadeville officials have email addresses or monitor email as an official function??

I've been told (not confirmed) that ethanol production generates a tremendous amount of waist water, how is Dadeville going to handle this increased amount of waist water and would the state lawsuit prevent the proposed ethanol?

I read, in a Q & A fact sheet printed by the ethanol people, that the plant will consume 500,000 gallons of Lake Martin (city) water per day, evaporate 450,000 (in clouds of stream) and dump 50,000 gallons into the inadequate sewer system. Not only do we get more sewage we lose part of our lake water into thin air--a sore subject at this particular time. But, we get the stink, trucks galore, and maybe 38 jobs out of it.

It is believed that the AG's lawsuit is a 'friendly' lawsuit, that protects the City from outside lawsuits, but it would not place a moratorium of adding sewage to the already overloaded system. Ain't lawyers great.

The Tallapoosa County commissioners and their addresses are shown on the attached link. I can't find anything on the City of Dadeville mayor/councilmen info.

At the risk of passing bad info again (groan), here's a link about the city officials. It doesn't appear that there is an official e-mail address.

The names are correct. The address and phone number is for Dadeville City Hall. Most of the home addresses can be found in the phone book. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the addresses of our local politicians. Hopefully, many of us will take the time to mail a letter to each expressing our concern about the sewage treatment plant problem and it's effects on the Lake.

Send the Dadeville officials all to City Hall. I'm sure the officials will get the letter.

INTERESTING FACT: I just ran a Map Quest on the County Commission and NONE of their addresses are on the Lake. Also, I checked the phone directory for the Dadeville officials and NONE of them have an address on the lake. Mike Richardson did not list a home phone number, only his business address so I don't know about him. Understand that some or all of these people may have property on the Lake, but it appears that none call it their primary address. Surprising--looks like the battle for understanding just got a little steeper.
