This weekend I had several boats come by too close near a sandbar near our house luckly I was close by to stop them. I'm not there all the time.

People need to watch going into sloughs they are not familiar with.

I was amazed at how many people towing skiers and tubes. That were coming in alolt closer than i was comfortable with....What is the safe distance here ?...In Georgia i think it is 100ft.

This was the frist holiday weekend in 5 years that I was able to see horrendous boat driving that I presumed but don't know was due to drinking or a complete absence of common sense. One driver with a bunch of people in his boat almost capsized during his high speed right angle turn out of our cove. It was one of the more frightening things I have seen. My fifteen year old was with me and I immediately turned to him and said "that's the kind of sh-- I don't want you doing." He was visibly shaken by the boat scene and I think learned a good lesson......hopefully.

I heard a very loud boat engine on Sunday, and I looked up, expecting to see a big, sleek speedboat zoom by. Instead, I saw the fastest moving pontoon boat that I have ever seen, zipping along at close to bass boat speed. That is a good way to catch some air under the deck and flip.
