The inaugural meeting of the Lake Martin Homeowners and Boat Owners Organization will be held at Niffers near the Blue Creek bridge on Saturday June 9 at 4:00 PM. Come if you can.
Anyone interested in the preservation and betterment of Lake Martin, the larger the group the better.
More info to come later, primary purpose of the HOBOS will be for the overall preservation and betterment of Lake Martin.

Just for clarification's sake, can you define "betterment?"
From what I have read on this website, people disagree about what would make the lake better.
Regardless of what the definition turns out to be, I can't make this meeting; I have to go to a graduation ceremony. If there is a second meeting, I hope to attend it.

That is exactly the point of the HOBOs to define betterment that is why we are looking to include ALL Lake users not just homeowners (as other HOBOs have done) as at a minimum there are the following groups:
- Homeowners
- Boat Owners
- Fishermen and women
- PWC
- Recreational
- etc etc.
Hopefully we can come to a consensus today as to the basic term of betterment. And the definition of betterment has to continually evolve and change as the lake demographic changes, etc.
Must my opinion at least. Others may have a diff opinion than mine that is why we are looking to have all lake users involved.
