Now that was a good one. A good solid hour of rain, hail, wind, thunder and lightning. It's going to be interesting in the morning to see what damage was done. Must have been two inches of rain that fell. So far the power only flickered once.

The storm woke me and I can't sleep with all that action going on. My four dogs were going crazy so I let them in. The hail was beating so hard I thought my roof was falling in. I lost about 1/3 of a Bradford Pear as far as damage goes. I haven't checked the roof shingles yet. They said nickel size hail but it sounded larger. I tried looking out but couldn't see it. I like storms so being up was not a problem. Just wish I could have seen it. I won't have to run the sprinklers for a couple days and if we got enough rain to the north maybe the lake will level will hold or come up a little. Peace.

Lakeman,

In regards to your post:
The APCO water level just jumped from 484.2 to 484.8.

Where did you find your lake level information? The APCO graph shows that it hasn't been at or above 484 since Monday? It shows that the lake only came up 2/10's of an inch and it looks like it's heading down already.

Also, the Water Level History calendar is posting 483.8 today.

Just curious where you got your information to compare it against mine.

Heard that the steel cables anchoring the wet slips to the shore and lake bed were completely torn loose with the wet slip now wedged in place on the shoreline, essentially free floating until they get a crane in there and re-anchor the slip. Some damage to boats reported.

Evidently, I have a large next door neighbors tree uprooted and leaning on my roof with windows and sliding doors blown in. Hit last night aroung 1am. Supposed to get more weather again tonite, so I will head down try to limit any more water damage before it occurs.

Hey I looked at it with my bad eye. Mine has been reading 484.2 all week on the Lake Martin site. When it dropped to 483.8 I got excited and started to perspire quite heavely which caused blurred vision and thus the misread. My humblest appology.

It rained and hailed in the old bama park slough for about a hour.
