To answer a question mentioned earlier in the forum, Russell Lands is planning the fireworks show this year, despite the drought. See below.

I am sure they ARE planning on having it. The unlucky ones like myself who cannot use their boat or do not live close enough to view the fireworks, will have to drive to the Russell owned location to view the show. More money for Russell.

You got to be kidding. You are actually complaining that you have to go sit on Russell owned property to watch the Russell sponsored firework show? You realize that you can park on the side of 63 on county owned roads which you are paying taxes on and watch the russell paid for firework show. That way, you would be certain that Russell would not get into your wallet.

I'm sure glad I saw this article. But I'm also glad it clearly states:

"...The ban prohibits both personal and commercial use and exempts displays fired over water...."

I guess if your firing off over the water you are OK. Good to know as we enjoy put up a pretty good display every year off our dock.
