Just curious if anyone would be interested in meeting about sunset one evening. From time to time I see boats tied together during the day and wonder, are they co-workers or friends from church e.t.c.... . Was wondering if anyone wuld be interested in getting together on the water maybe after "prime time" so everyone could get their fill of skiing & swimming. David

I am in for anything that gets everyone together to party and hang out and attract a crowd.

Do we anchor and attract or float and see whats out there?

David, I would be interested in seeing the lake at night - I don't know it after dark well enough to go solo. We sold the pontoon, so we would have to join the flotilla in a ski boat. If that's not a problem, my family & I would be interested.

There is a rumor that Steve and Dee Dee and the big Cat boat and friends might be back this weekend to Pier 59.

I know you were gone David but it was cool to see and would be worth coming down to pier 59 if they show.

David, it occured to me that you may have meant an adult only night time flotilla. If so, I'm certainly okay with that but I 'll have to take a rain check.

The Cat boat was a catamaran style racing boat that Steve and Dee Dee own and they have a performance boat shop, I think in Prattville.

Them and about 5-6 other boats came up from Lake Martin and showed up at Pier 59 and then hung out on the lake allday.

Their friends Kip and Sarah live somewhere on Logan Martin and you see them come down by the dam every weekend in the 32' Fountain.

It was really cool and like I said just a rumor but we willl see what happens.

Oh and on his website, click on the "Cat Video" and that is the boat that he brought to the lake.

Thanks for the nice words. I am not sure we are going to make it back this Saturday. The "Floatilla" idea does sound good though. We had a blast riding on Logan Martin Lake. Kip and Sara are our friends, and a very good customer of Cathouse Marine. I'll let you know when we are headed back that way so that we can all meet up. Most of us are from Prattville/Montgomery area. The drive up I-65 was not that bad. I think it maybe took us 1hr 30mins to get up there. Several are getting ready for the Destin Poker Run (aka. Emerald Coast Poker Run) the third weekend of August. So, if we are coming, it better be soon. That Poker run is the biggest of the year. Yall check it out at www.emeraldcoastpokerrun.com.
See yall later.

Sorry you are not going to make it back this weekend, hope to see you soon!

Now that is something I tried to get started a few years ago on Logan Martin was a Poker Run. It never sparked enough interest here among friends in Trussville. Now that this forum is in place it might be fun to try again. Give cash prizes and make donations to Childrens Hosp. all in fun and worthy cause.

Last year when we bought our place we were having to store our boat at Lakeside Landing and one day when we were launching the boat there was a tent and people on the dock by the gas and they were having a Poker Run.

I did not pay much attention to it at the time because of being new to the lake and everything we had going on but maybe someone else knows about it.

I would be interested also!!!

Steve
