FUN IDEA !!! How many shows can we come up with that we USED to watch that are no longer on TV?
Add one and keep going.
This should be fun and jog our memories. No repeats on the shows.

Flipper...Loved the scenes where Flipper saved Sandy from sharks by impailing them with his snout. Little known fact, Flipper was really a female and is retired in LM, last spotted near Sand Island about 4 days ago.

"Mr. Green Jeans was the subject of an urban legend that claimed he was the father of the late musician Frank Zappa. The confusion probably arose from the title of song by Zappa, "Son of Mr. Green Genes", from Zappa's 1969 album, Hot Rats. Zappa was, in fact, the son of Francis Vincent Zappa, Sr."

I have one that I saw a few times back before there was cable TV or satellite at the lake called "Dusty's Trail". It was like "Gilligan's Island" set in the old west, complete with Bob Denver as the trail boss. I mention it only because the only time I ever saw it was when the big outside antenna was turned towards Columbus (or was it Birmingham?). How many other people remember those days when you could only watch TV at the lake if you had a big antenna? We could pick up stations in Montgomery, Birmingham, Columbus, and Mt. Cheaha. The biggest drawback was that someone had to turn the antenna every time we changed the channel. That was lots of fun in an electrical storm. Nothing like a little danger to spark up the most mundane tasks.

Country Boy Eddie and
Happy Hal Burns

These were early morning local TV shows in the early 50's. Happy Hal lived in Vestavia and drove a big 'ole Cadillac convertible with a set of Texas Longhorns mounted as a hood ornament. To this day, I have a lot of trouble enjoying country music! But Country Boy could bray like a mule!
