Might help readers if usable and un-usable ramps are identified by those who know. If you know for a fact about ramps please post.

I looked at Blue Creek landing off Hwy 34 (Past Camp Alamisco) today. You probably could launch a skiff, not much more. About 10-15' of pavement left. Shallow.

Smith Landing - Sandy Creek. Very shallow. Pavement but probably for skiffs only.

DARE park is not a good choice either. APCO has added gravel at the end as freind found out as he ruined his stainless prop. Madwind Creek is a good alternate, but I would not plan on parking there. Very limited parking available.

Kowaliga Bridge boat ramp is ok, if you have a I/O I would not use the side closest to the rocks. I used the ramp over the winter, lowest was 479.5 below that will be new ground for me. I believe Anchor Bays Public ramp is the deepest on the lake (I could be wrong) but they have no parking. Seems like a rule that could over looked ($$$$) I would pay to park if the Kowaliga ramp is unusable in the future.

Happy Boat Ridin' and be careful out this weekend!!!

Anybody used Point Windy lately? I used it over a month ago when the water level was 1/2 a foot higher . . . was using DARE and found that Point Windy was a better option and the same distance from the house.

Is it better than DARE still at this point?

Same ramp different names. It is off Point Windy Road. I have a freind who uses it throughout the winter to launch a variety of boats. But bear in mind all other winters have been no lower than 479 -479.5. Below that I cant say. Autiger67 and I must be neighbors because we are both about equadistant from DARE and Point Windy....hmmm.

Remember though that PARKING may be an issue.

Thanks for clarification . . .

I thought Pt. Windy may have been the same in your reference - - didn't know if there was still a ramp on down the road where condos are going in at the old Madwind Cr. Marina and that was the one you were referencing - - haven't driven down there in over a year.

We are early risers, so we shouldn't have to worry about parking . . . I hope . . .

Anchor Bay is still usable. I launched a 20 ft boat this past weekend. There are 2 sides.....stay to the left as you look down the ramp. You can see the end of the concrete slab so you know where to stop. Should be plenty deep to launch most boats. Right side is usuable but the concrete on the end is broken/cracked so not sure what weight would do should you back a trailer on it.

They have a ramp but not sure if it is usable, but there is NO PARKING there.
