For those who do not know this information, Dale the Movie will be on CMT at 7:00 Central Time tonight. Right now, they are showing a previous race (Talladega) that he won from way back in the field (imagine that). BTW, this is the movie that DEI endorsed. Rhonda

It's just a rumor but it makes sense. Pepsi already sponsers Gordon so there is already a connection between PepsiCo and Hendrick . So Mountain Dew makes sense and also fits the demograhpic of most of his fans just as Bud did.

Others like to call it "progress." If we did things the way we used too where would we be today.

I watched the movie "Dale" last night. Found it pretty entertaining. I am not sure I want to buy in on the "Jr. is trying to get out of Sr.s footsteps idea". I'll tell you one thing that is for sure.... The Hendrick organization has the best stable of, and most popular drivers than one could ever hope for. I'll bet Jr. has a great year next season. All the knowledge and wealth that not only he will add to the teams, but other info he can feed off of from Gordon and Johnson as well. I hope he does well.

Yeah, they got all the money, the money always wins. These guys that race today can`t even come close to compare to the guys that made the entertainment it is today. It is not a sport, a exibetion.

Rumor has it that his number will be 81 because 38 and 83 are already taken. I have not heard anything on the sponsor yet. Rhonda

Jim, You are on to something for sure. Everything these days seem to be entertainment. But I think NASCAR is tryin' to put level playing surface with the COT (aka car of tomarrow). That way, all the technology they can create can filter down to all of us. They have done much, smaller fuel cells (better mileage), better drag co-efficient, (slipin' through the air), and limited air intake with *restrictor plates, (to force engine builders/designers) to make more with less. The big picture I believe is better for us. My.02 worth, but hey, I am in the Auto business.

I have done things in automobile more dangerous than that, and nothing was designed for it. Could not have done them sober.

Cat Boat I think you are right that Nascar has done much to improve the safety and efficiency of the automobile. But, you can say the same for the military. Now I know all the peaceniks won't agree but if they will think about it everytime they use their cellphone, GPS, remote, MOTORBOATS and many more everyday items that we take for granted and realize all the human blood that is dripping off them, I wonder if they would still use them. They probably still would. We are all for or against something untill it affects us.

JawGa give me the ground rules for using effect and affect.
