Has anyone seen the helicopters buzzing around this week?
They have been flying really low in the Sandy Creek area.

They are looking for water.

They were flying low this past weekend around Parker Creek/Tates Cove area too. I know we are in the flight path for the Willow Point airport but these helicopters weren't landing. We think one was a tv station but couldn't make it out completely.

One of the ones this past weekend was ABC 33/40. We got a good close up look at it.

We stayed down on a Monday about 3 weeks ago and when passing the Kowiliga bridge saw one land at, and about 5 minutes later take off from, the public ramp. Assumed they were picking up shore patrol. They spent the rest of the day flying the shorelines of Little Kowiliga and Parker Creeks, every inlet and slough. Assumed they were checking levels and spotting hazards.
