Yea, that is me with wife, friends, and also my 16 year old. We were in Destin, FL. We bring it to Martin at times. That has been a great boat, we have really enjoyed it.

I think you should agree to give folks a ride in that nice boat...for a fee and then donate part of the proceeds to the Lake Martin HOBO.

Fee = $100.00 for ride.
Donation to HOBO = $12.00

Bill for fuel for = $75.00
Fee charged from wife (because she owns the boat)= $5.00
Cost to CAT = $5.00

Somehow, this just dont work for me.

Best place for me on Al. River is Cooters Pond in Prattville. Nice ramp. We leave from Cathouse at around 1pm each sunday. You are welcome to meet us here. Anywhere from 3-6 boats Sundays. Montgomery has launch at Mont. Marina.

You're gonna have 214 people at the ramp and 3 boats!! LOL

Hey Cat,
I was going to ask you the same question about putting in for a river run. We are taking a friend of my wife’s mom to lunch Friday and she lives near Cooter’s Pond. I will go over and take a look at the ramp. When you get in the river, what is the best way to go and how far each way? What sites should we look for? Won’t be going this week, but I would love to put the boat in at least one more time this year.

When you put in at Cooters Pond, back boat in, and follow channel to your left. It is small sorta channel, and it leads to the River after a couple hundred yards. From there, North is Downtown Mont. and south is nice country ride. Not many sites, but smooth ride and much fun. The River is nice and wide, and you should not have any nav. issues at all.

If Cooters Pond is in Pratville, how is it that downtown Montgomery is north up the river? Prattville is north of Mgery isn't it? I know rivers wind and all, but help me out CAT.

I am not CAT, but the Alabama River runs north to south (just south of Wetumpka to Mobile). Traveling from Wetumpka to Mobile on the river you will pass Montgomery before you get to Prattville - thus from Prattville you go north to Montgomery on the river.

Are you taking boat to river on Sat? Or just driving to look? You can still come by shop on Sat. We will be there, if not on the River.

I looked it up. I thought that P'ville, was more due north, north east. Reality is it is NNW and the river does a switch back. I would like to ride that area sometime. Maybe CAT will give me one of those HOBO rides on the river. Don't worry though CAT I will give you 20% tip on top of YOUR fee. $5.00 * 20% = $1.00, so you will pocket $6.00.

Hey mckaygmc, don't mean to but in, but I would love to put the boat in at the Wetumpka ramp on the coosa and cruise down to Montgomery and meet up with Cat and his buddies, I think it is about 45min ride to Montgomery via the river. It would be nice to have a few boats from the Lk Martin area to make that trip...just a thought.

Have fun at the Cathouse....it's a blast...nice boats too
