If APCo's predictions hold true the lake level appears to be around 476 by Oct 15th per link below.

My question is at what levels are the floating marina's not floating anymore and what are these boat owners going to do since most of these boaters probably do not have trailers. Such as

- Kowaliga
- Anchor Bay
- The Ridge
- Harbor Pointe
- River North
- etc.

We must hope for rain. Neither APCO nor the Corps of Engineers is going to be able to help us.

Down here in Tallahassee we had a beautiful body of water named Lake Jackson. It was a natural lake several miles long and a couple of miles across. It was an excellent bass fishing lake and I hunted ducks there often. People paid fortunes to build houses on its shores.

It went dry in 1999 and, eight years later it is still dry and there is little chance it will become a lake again. There is nothing like a former lake to stifle the development of the sort some of you worry.

Pray for rain. Pray hard.

i guess they'll have to winterize them and they'll have to sit on dry land. we've winterized our boat oncebut were told as long as the motor stayed in the water we didn't have to do it.

can any of the marinas get the boats out now?

soryr for typos and no caps, cut hand on knife today and typing 1 handed.

At what level will Alex City no longer be able to pull water from the lake?

It is my understadning fromspeaking with a City engineer several months back the intake is good up to about 475.

Their back up plan is to anchor a barge near the intake with an extension and pump to extend the pickup into deeper water.

Mav what about the amount of treated waste discharged into the lake. Do you think this changes too. I know you're not the engineer but you seem very resourceful.

Lakeman, do not have a clue.

You could probably call the City Engineers and I am sure they would know the answer.

Sorry

No problem. It would seem a logical plan untill you consider the waste doesn't stop or the volume decrease unless a lot of people move away.

Seems like they need to go ahead and get that barge in place huh?

Doesn't seem like it is going to stop dropping anytime soon.

Yep - I call shot gun on BRF's boat. As he needs a co-pilot for sure. LOL

Actually, I would really love to, however the weekend of Oct 6th I am out of town at a soccer tournament. I believe this is the weekend you guys are planning the river trip. Should be a blast and would loved to have joined your families.

Have a safe trip and a great time.
