Just crank'in up. Looks like the Martin watershed will get a good squirt from this front.

Did it rain worth a darn? The radar seemed to indicate that the lake only got a trace.

We did get some rain but the rain we got up state was more important.

1/2" on Sandy Creek. Not much upstream, but at least it'll keep the ground wet for awhile.

I was expecting more in our watershed, but the front moved through quickly with most measurable precip around 7 - 8AM. Checking stream gage hydrographs for Newell on the Little 'poosa and the Heflin gage on The 'poosa is discouraging when compared to the flow spikes from last week's storm. I thought the upper reaches of the basin got a greater squirt given the radar pic. Also discouraging is the apparent lack of scheduled turbine pulses from Harris today. Only good nuz is that the Harris project pool level is very near its increased winter pool variance guideline which will eventually trigger releases to conform with the modified rule curve. So, back to the rain dance.

Good, encouraging article in the Alex City Outlook today on the lake level situation. See link.
