First of all, I don't much care what any of you think. My family & myself had nothing to do with the calamity that decended upon those who didn't have a clear understanding of train schedules & physics. The penality for vandalism isn't death nor did my family wish it upon them but out & out stupidity can be & often is. My family did nothing to deserve the havoc wreaked upon our Sturdivant home & property & the havoc that is being wreaked upon it still. As far as being perfect, no I'm not but I have NEVER, EVER committed wanton destruction on anybodys property. My family taught me better.....Much better it seems. Maybe my whiney, spineless, wannabe detractors who want to get into name calling haven't led such stellar lives themselves. If you want to pity those Darwin rejects & you want to defend the criminal element, that's your business.

to some strange posts on this board before, but yours takes the cake. As I have been told, the people killed by the train--all but one who jumped from the trestle--were high school students, members of a high school social club. They were out on a dare or a pledge stunt to cross the trestle to the Sturdivant house, your property-a well known "haunted house". We have heard some were from a local "famous family", which leaves little to the imagination, but doesn't matter.

The important thing is your callous attitude toward the death of these young people many years ago. It's been a long time, is this something you want to account for forever?

Didn't bring this issue up but my family has been blamed ever since & my father was threatened with death. So, I have a callous attitude? I don't give two hoots what their background was. they acted stupidly & I'm sick & tired of paying for their act. Put the blame where it belongs.
I've controlled a great many things in my life but I really had nothing to do with those "upstanding" teens taking their life into their own hands. Again, I care very little what any of you think on this matter. All of you have no problem attempting to portray me as evil incarnate which, if it makes you feel better, so be it. Maybe some day this vulture will come to roost on you & let's see how you handle it. Steal what you can, destroy the rest & then spray paint foul & abusive language on what's left standing.

I guess I'm guilty for not having compassion for this unseemly situation. Gotta ask the question. Why should I? For one thing I didn't bring this issue up again. Check the Feb 06 post. It's all of you out there that want to twist history & bring it up again. I defend myself & my family and some how I'm the bad guy. H**l no I didn't like what happened. What happened, happened. Nobody liked it, nobody wanted it but it happened.
Every time I go to my property I see it all over again. I see new filthy graffiti, trash & litter all over the place & I feel the bile in my throat rise. So OSMS & the rest of you, yes, it's very hard to forget when it keeps happening over & over again.

1. How do you know that these people were walking on the tracks with the intent of vandalizing your property? Perhaps they just wanted to cross the river via the shortest, easiest method. Maybe you have inside info about what their intent was; if not, you have set a new standard for egocentricism.

2. The old mansion has been a pile of rubble for more than 25 years now; exactly what are people "vandalizing" these days? Are they moving piles of rock around? Are they re-arranging pieces of broken, rotten wood?

Given that it took 9 days from the original question asked around this event for him to surface and lash out, might be a while. I found it interesting that after no one responded to his original ranting made about the original post, that he started 2 new threads to bring it to the top of the list. I guess he thought no one was going to pay attention to his foolishness at the bottom of the postings.

Give Flash a rest. He obviously has some very strong opinions on this as it directly impacted his life. While some may not agree with his feelings about the incident, it happened over 40 years ago. Lets just let this whole thing just float on down the river and pray for some rain.

Speaking of lives that have been affected, how about the lives of the families of the people who were KILLED? If Flash has his way, these people will be forever branded as vandals; I was wondering if there was any proof of that? After all, all we know about them is that they were crossing the river by walking on train tracks; I'm no expert on law, but common sense tells me that that's not much in the way of evidence, yet Flash has apparently convicted.

And finally here's the answers little jalcz. Sorry you & the others had to wait for soooo long! To the first, The survivor told the authorities & families that their intent was to go to the "haunted house" & party. Also to the first, my father was threatened with death. Why? You figure it out genius.
And to the second, That pile of rubble you refer to was once a beautiful maintained home ....It was that is until tresspassing thieves stole what they could, vandals destroyed the rest & the punks took over with spray paint. They caused the piles of rocks & the broken rotten wood. Not egocentrism you little child but facts.
Yep, took nine days to reply to the original post by the Ghost. I really don't have the time to spend constantly reading all that is posted here. I have much bigger fish to fry.
And what does this tell you about me? Put this in your pipe & smoke away.
What do I feel about those that were killed & their families? First of all genius as must as you want to twist it otherwise, it wasn't my families fault & I do feel badly for the families as much as I can even after having been threatened by them.
And the property is not for sale nor will it ever be. Even so, any of you couldn't afford it anyway. My family has been on this property for over hundred years. Long before the Lake was built & here I will stay so I sincerely hope that in some way all of you will find this very disconcerting. I will protect this property to the fullest extent of the law & you may defend the criminal element all you wish. Tis your right to do so & It's also my right to dearly despise those who have no respect for others rights & property.
Oh, and by the way, little genius, that rock & rubble & rotten wood that you so snidely refered to will shortly rise to it's original splendor.
So, my little smooth brained detractors, have at me!
