Rental cars in the area? I need to send a driver back to AR after the move and need to find transportation for him. Nearest airport with public flights out? Bus system...etc. Any help is appreciated

If you ffollow Hwy 49 South, you will see I85 to Montgomery. There is a public airport there,, mostly Delta flights. Check www.delta.com to flight info and charges. Or drive about 2 hours to Birmingham to their airport.

Montgomery may be a good place to rent a car, but for several years now "Delta" has not flown into Montgomery. They do however contract out for smaller planes with lower paid (and less experienced) pilots for flights into and out of Montgomery and pass off the flights as being "Delta". Delta uses both mainline (True Delta) and contract aircraft and crews in B'ham.

You can take express 85 from Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center to Atlanta airport. xpress 85 has a website with schedules and prices.
