We have a lot of damage. From Atlanta it took me 6 hours to make a 2 hour trip. I have my two favorite shade trees down and one is across my boathouse. The worst thing is I have no insurance because Its just land with no house. We are blessed that nobody was hurt. The good news is we will have no problem finding wood for the fire pit.

Do you need any help Steve? I seem to recall you are near Stemly Bridge. I'm nearby if you need anything, chainsaw ready to go. I'm wrapped up Monday but good Tuesday and maybe part of Wed.

The more beer you bring, the more supervision is necessary.

Chainsaws and beer...a great combination. I can just imagine the "hey yall watch this" moment.

So if I understand this right,,,,,,,,,,,

I will supervise the drinking of the beer
TWC will bring chainsaw and NOT drink beer until chainsaw is out of gas.
Other Other will find a new route to the lake because 6 hours to get to paradise is entirely too long........
RBS will video the entire event and help eat pizza......

Thanks guys, If anyone wants to stop by we will be there Saturday and mabe Friday. Weather permitting. I like beer and pizza. I had a builder look at it and he is going to bring a trackhoe to pick the one tree off the boat house. Give me a call and mabe we can all meet. Email me and I'll give you guys my cell number. ( sdycus@bellsouth.net )We can have a big bon fire with limbs. I'll keep you all posted when we see the weather for the weekend.

I am going to be North of Atlanta Thursday and Friday (Fri Golf Tournament) and you will be in Alabama, thats a switch......

I will check with you on my way back Friday evening to see if you are still there and might ride by........We should be up there sometime oveer the weekend but have softball tournaments at Spain Park on Saturday and not sure how long it will last.

I'm supposed to be in Dallas from Thursday till early next week. Sorry. I was kinda looking forward to the chainsaw and begging Steve for beer.

I hope it doesn't get worse tonight. I just checked the progress of the storm. So far, the winds haven't exceeded 35mph or so. As long as things don't start twisting, we should be fine. We had much stronger winds than that last week.

I agree Lake topics should be on top, hope this helps,. As for storm damage last week we were very lucky. Only a few limbs down.
