A neighbor called last night and told me the cover collapsed on my toon and with all the rain the carpet is green and the vinyl seats and more black than what they should be, tan. This is only a 2 year old tritoon. Does anybody know of anyone that can clean and restore the interior of the boat or what I need to use to clean the carpet and vinyl interior.....Thanks for the HELP!!

You pretty much have to buy it online. I used it last year and it works pretty well. ALMOST ANYTHING that will remove mildew has bleach in it. I would try to keep it off threads and rinse well with water.
Good luck, I know from experience it will not be fun.

Try Tilex, mold and mildew. Used it last year and worked good. Most stores carry this or if you are close to a Sams you get a better price on large bottles.

Save yourself a LOT of time, trouble and money and just use a 10% bleach solution. I have a freind who paid $14 for a pint of eco-freindly, bio-degradable mold and mildew remover. When he got it and read the ingredients it is nothing more than BLEACH WATER. All you have to do is make sure you rinse well. Degrading the vinyl itself is a bigger danger than 'destroying the threads'. Be sure to use a good cleaner afterwards on all the vinyl, Fantastik is recomended by several manufacuters. Then a good protectorant with UV protection. Stay away from AmorAll and the like. Get 303 vinyl protector.
For those that think the bleach water will 'destroy' the threads I have a question. When you do laundry with bleach, does the laundry disentegrate? I am just asking because mine doesn't. That is why I can't understand everyone's fear of using bleach to kill the mold and mildew on boats.

Bleach could harm/fade your fabric and it is hard on the stitching. I use a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. Both are inexpensive when you buy the large bottles, and it is friendlier to your interior. Don't use tilex unless you want some stuff to change colors.....my son did that on our old pontoon.

Here is a previous posting from Anchorbay Don from Anchor Bay marina to a similar question:
"There are several commercial products that will remove mildew. Just make certain that the one you use contains no bleach products as they will destroy the stiching in your upholstery as well as any protective coating that the mfgr may have treated it with.
We use 1/3 distilled water, 1/3 ammonia, and 1/3 hydrogen peroxide. It works well and will not damage the stiching."

They sure do, it's called BLEACH!! lol
I am not sure which product you are reffering to but I can guarentee it contians bleach in very small quantities.
Me and a buddy cleaned his boat yesterday and had to use bleach water due to being put away in a hurry last winter. It has been through 5 seasons and it looks better than most after one season.
Tips:
Use no more than 10% bleach
Rinse well
Make sure all fadable surfaces (carpet, decorative stitching) are saturated with water prior to using bleach. This dilution will stop fading.
Make sure to re-treat all vinyl with a good UV protectorant afterward.

Thanks All for the great response....but does anyone know anyone that can do the restoration, I can't get to the lake for a couple of weeks and I don't want the boat interior to be unrepairable/damaged.....Can the boat interior be cleaned near new??

works well.....I just cut out the 1/3 water part for a slightly stronger solution. I do use a little bleach on hard to remove stains, but only as a spot treatment and only after testing the solution in an area that is out of site. Even in low concentrations, it may alter color. My son used tilex on our old pontoon, and the seats went from maroon to purple.

A couple of more weeks should not make a difference; Proper cleaning (when you do it) will make a difference. I went through this problem every year before I built a large garage to hold all "the toys".

There is a boat detailing business on Highway 63 just south of the Lake Martin Mini Mall and Mitchell Marine. I have not ever used them so I do not know their work.

We have not used this cleaning service on Hwy 63 but we know a couple of people who have. Their boats look GREAT! Like new!

The guy on 63 makes as much money as he likes. I asked him why he didn't have "help" he said no one want to do manual labor any more. He saiys he hires helpers and they leave after a week or two.
Buffing and waxing properly is a hard job, but at $13 a linear foot there is good money to be made...
