That is a lot, but it is keeping with the variance. They are allowed to be up to 3 feet above winter pool until they hit full pool ... then follow normal levels assuming they can through summer. We are still in decent shape compared to last year. We should have a pretty good level all summer.

Interesting that it is scheduled on the day the ugly rumor called for a 10ft drop.

Looks like they have updated the schedule for the 10th

3/10/2008 5:00 AM 2 (1 hour)
3/10/2008 6:00 AM 3 (5 hours)
3/10/2008 11:00 AM 1 (6 hours)
3/10/2008 12:00 PM 0
3/10/2008 5:00 PM 2 (1 hour)
3/10/2008 6:00 PM 3 (3 hours)
3/10/2008 9:00 PM 1 (1 hour)
3/10/2008 10:00 PM 0

So if my math is correct that is a average of 2.0588 turbines for 17 hours.

Anyboby know how many CFS this is?

And then how many inches of lake level drop such would equate to?

Not enough caffine yet.

It is 2.727 turbines for 11 hours.

Running all four turbines equals 16,500 cfs., but that is limited by Yates which has a capacity of 12,400 cfs. w/o flood gates.

As of 12:44 this afternoon, the turbine releases are gone. Maybe they are re-thinking the volume. Or just messing around to see if they can get us stirred up.

Interesting, they did the same thing last Saturday. Posted then pulled. Just making sure we're paying attention.

I asked the reservoir management officials at APCo during a meeting in B'Ham last Thursday if there were any plans to have major releases from Martin during the upcoming week. They said "NO". If the next weather front on the horizon causes them to adjust system storage as necessary, they will do so.
