Where can I find the points for all of the 'hot' spots on the lake?

Define 'hot'. I use my internal GPS-- Go Places by Sight....lol. It is old and worn out, but has not let me down YET!!

But seriously, a lot of the maps now have GPS coordinates printed on them. Find one of those and you should be set.

HAHA, that's what I'm used to as well. Most places I've managed to find on my own, but for instance I've never found Neptune.

Go up Parker Creek and ride the north bank (right side). He sits on a little island that is connected by a foot bridge. I went up there early lst year and missed him on the first pass too. The island was really grown up and he was hard to spot. I don't know if it was because of he drought or what. I don't get up that way but maybe once a year these days.

If you really want to see the lake and learn your way around I suggest riding shorelines. Pick a spot and start riding following the shoreline instead of 'channels'. The next time start at the spot you stopped at last time. In no time you will have seen a LOT of lake you never knew existed. That is how I learned this side of the lake when I moved over here in 2000. I knew the Kowliga side already, but I try to get over there at least once a year to see what changes have taken place.

Maybe you could create a few "routes" and put them online. That is, you could link up some waypoints of an interesting route (the big house route? the ugly house route? the historical route?) and publish them online.

Inland, some folks do this at Christmas for "tacky light tours."

I just got a GPS and the nerd in me is itching to get out on the lake with it.

Color? Map of lake included I assume? I'm been wanting one also. Any suggestions?

There is a website, i think it is geobot or gpsbot, that list all kinds of items around the lake left for people to find. you leave an item and take one. I never found the one on sand island.
