Once again CBS shows their bias. They do an expose on 'pork barrell spending' and show John Murhta as king of pork and even bring up his old abscam role, but not ONCE identify him as a Democrat. Wonder if a Republican would get the treatment?

Interesting point. But maybe they look at him the same way I do (and others should): a no-good scumbag who should be run out of town, and into prison. Political affiliation doesn't matter one iota with some people; bad is bad, no matter what little letter comes before a representative's name. This guy is scum and he's a Democrat; he's not scum because he's a Democrat. He would be scum even if he were Republican, Libertarian, Independent, or anything else.
When people stop judging politicians by their party, and start judging them as people and representatives of the people, our country will be a better place. But too many refuse to do that.
(Then there are those who could say that if CBS was really trying to cover something up, they wouldn't have run the story at all. They have a good point, too.)

I agree with everything you said, but it wasn't a post about scumbag politicians. It was a post about the bias of what used to be the biggest and best in the news business, but has turned into a shill for the democratic party. I was surprised they covered him at all, but when you want to do the story, you can't ignore the worst offender. But you can choose not ot identify the party affilliation, if it makes your 'freinds' look bad. This is not a one time thing. It continues to happen over and over.

Sorry to interrupt from another lake to voice my opinion, but it seems that all you guys do is spew venom at each other. Most of you seem like decent, fun loving people (I've even met Cat & a few others at Logan Martin) but you just don't know when to stop arguing. And it seems like some of you will stop at nothing to have the last word. Being part of a lake community is supposed to be fun, educational, & entertaining... not insulting and hurtful. Enjoy life - it's too short as it is. If you were to die tomorrow, is this how you would want to be remembered? This will be my last post to your forum.
