Floated into Madwin creek after the storms last week, anybody missing one? Or is there someone to contact to locate the owner?

Buoy should have a marking on it denoting the original location. Contact the Marine Police and they will probably come by and pick it up.

The station is not manned 24 hours per day, so if they do not answer I would just leave a voicemail.

Marine Police telephone number is:

DISTRICT III HEADQUARTERS
126 Marina Road
Alexander City, AL 35010
256-329-2268
1-800-432-7389

Just throw it in the trash. Most people don't slow down anyway.

Thanks for the info, and also for not spanking me for misspelling buoy.

Please post whether or not the buoy is a LMRA buoy. It should have LMRA stenciled on it in several locations. Also, if it's a LMRA buoy, it should have a location code on it (two letters followed by a number) on each side. If it's a LMRA buoy, I will get this info to the "buoy boys" coordinator for replacement. Otherwise, it's most likely a private buoy with no real means of tracking. Thanks for your help.

Only ID on this buoy is the no wake stencil and the mfg info, nothing else. Really banged up, anchor attachment on the bottom is broken. Probably private.
