Does anyone have any information on the six airplanes that fly over the lake in formation,like where are they based,and what kind are they.

I think that they are part of a group that came for a wedding. They had a big party at one of the hangers at willow point last night.

The wedding was today at Church in the Pines. Reception at Sinclairs.
Most of the guests are staying at the lodge by the Cove.

I think the groom's name is Williams but not sure.

The write up of the pre-wedding festivites in the Montgomery Advertiser called the plane that the groom flies a YAK. The write up in the Montgomery Independent called it a YALE. I asked my husband if he knew what that was and he didn't.

The yak 9 is an airplane built in Russia.
Flown by the Chinese and North Koreans for midnight wakeup calls.

Hey Dawg ! I am still out here. I have started a new job and have been very busy making the transition . The Pirates continue to hang on to the 2nd place spot at triva most of the last several weeks except one. The group call M&M has had quite a run. Hello all, A friend asked me to post an update...
First off, it is impressive all the details you guys got right. :)

The event - Jodie Custard & David McGirt Wedding
Friday - Hanger Party @ Willow Point airport
Saturday - Wedding @ Church in the Pines, and reception @ Sinclairs..

I am a member of the Red Thunder Airshow Team, thus all the "friends" that flew in.. We fly the Russian Yak 52 TW, this is a fully aerobatic russian trainer . Friday and Saturday, we were practicing some of our airshow routines. If you are interested in the airplanes, you can find more @ www.flyredstar.org

Hopefully you all enjoyed some of the formations around the lake for a day..
