a game of trivial pursuit for some, and for others it is pregnant with real life consequences. A walk-on Q-back athlete at Ga Tech recently was charged with homicide by vehicle in the second degree when he rear ended the car of a minister and his wife( who later died at the hospital) at an intersection in Atlanta. No evidence of Alcohol, drugs or speeding was determined by the police investigation. The student and his family asked to attend the wake for the ministers late wife and he agreed. Later at the sentence hearing ( student pled guilty to reckless driving) the student apologized for his actions and asked the family for forgiveness. The minister asked the judge for leniency because of the honesty of the student and "told the judge: there should be balance. We should keep the integrity of the law, but we should also teach." The minister embraced the young man and said "Everyone makes mistakes, hating doesn't help ...........or cannot bring Linda back to life. It is more important how you deal with it and provide a future for the living ones."
