Been away for quite some time now and from the looks of it, nothing much has changed. The same old topics duplicated over and over again. The water is up and so is gas. Considering Lake Martin is at the center of all that matters in the world, I suppose the gas companies must have jacked the prices up only for that reason. The big and fast boats are still here. Boohoo. Get over it. Lake Martin will never be a retirement community made up of 80 year olds cruising around in their pontoon boats with grandchildren wishing they were "going faster." There are still plenty of fish in the lake. Fishermen should be happy. I am sure, for many years to come, someone will be dissatisfied about something to do with Lake Martin. Above anything, we have water. I will not thank anyone for that. I do not care for government or industrial endeavors who are being accredited with this feat. Both have had pockets filled at one point or another. I for one look forward to another great Summer on Lake Martin. I will go fast. I will make waves. I will enjoy looking at half naked women. I will Party Naked.

going fast, making waves, spending a lot on gas, etc. Having never seen you I will take the conservative approach and ask that you not party in my slew sans proper bodily coverage. I generally have a house filled with teenagers and we don't need any more hormone breakouts. :-)
As for the Forum, it will never change when it comes to the content but it is still the place for us poor weekenders to keep connected to the greatest place on the planet. I am with you about just being happy with the water level. We spent all last summer wishing we had bought a lake house instead of a house on a small creek and lo and behold, our wish has been granted!
