Z-52 Zoysia!!!!!. Don' let anybody else tell you any different. It also depends on how much sunlight the grass wiil get. Zoysia and bermuda will not grow well or even at all in shade. They do best in direct sun. Emerald zoysia will grow in partial shade.

Zorro Zoysia Grass. Just had it put down in my house in Birmingham...the most beautiful grass I have ever seen! It is the #1 rated Zoysia. It gets green early and stays green longer. Keeps weeds to a minimum, does not require as much mowing, does well with higher traffic and zorro handles shade better than the other zoysias. A little expensive but makes up for it long term.

Go to Blue Creek Turf & Tropicals on hwy. 49 across from Oscar's. Great folks to do business with. Ask for Jim, he'll treat you right. The number there is 256-825-4883.

You can get palms and other tropical there that will grow and thrive in this area. We got 3 pintas that are huge now. Survived ice storm and this past snow.
