With regards to Bumpers I prefer the mid to large size ones as they provide more cushion upon impact.

Does anyone else have a preference.

Now Maverick, when I started this thread I thought at least someone would rise to the bait. Thanks for being the one.

I think Miss Elly was the one with the bumpers.

I prefer those made of natural fibers rather than synthetic. They seem to be softer.

Are we talking about bow bumpers or stern bumpers?

Now Jim your above post has to make the BigFoot awards this year.

I was on a conf call reading this thread and about fell out of my chair when I began reading the replies.

Then when I got to yours and it was everything I could do not bust out laughing, had tears coming out of my eyes. Had to mute the conf call.

You helping me at Youngs Island tomorrow. We can swing by and pick you up on the way??

It depends on the quality of the bumpers.

Recently read somewhere that:

If the bumpers are old and warn out it is better to keep them covered when exposed to the elements - Keeps them from deteriorating further from what I understood.

However if bumpers are in good shape and properly inflated exposure to the elements is fine and the recommended method.

Hope this help clarify the matter.

O.K. Dirt.... I have left this thread alone for a reason. So as not to get in any trouble, and here you go, draggin' me into it. But now that you have involved me in this thread.... I like the medium size bumpers that are kinda pointed, and have a slight upward turn on the end. They seem to have an easy attachment point, and stay secured well with the suction device on them (the little stopper thing). You need not put covers on them, they have a nice pretty color and WILL NOT show dirt.
