Has anyone seen the pontoon boat in the Sandy Creek area with the 700HP? It has two 350HP Yamaha V8 4-strokes on it. It is at least 32 feet long. Does anyone know the owner? More importantly, top speed?

I have seen it several times in Sandy Creek and also around The Ridge area. I don't think it is 32 feet but could be at least 27. Running WOT I could get close enough to see those 2 - 350's and could not believe it. Smokin!!!

Glad I am not buying the gas for it. :)

Never heard of a configuration on a pontoon like this before... but wouldn't it be illegal? Over 26 ft long, and probably capable of speeds in excess of 60mph, right?

And at top speed, wouldn't it be a really unstable configuration ... with a tendency to lift & flip?

I did a quick search and found that Aloha Pontoons has a 32' model that carries twin 300 Yammies - top end between 56-60 depending on load. Cost is above $65,000.

I'd be worried that thing would take flight. But it sure looks like fun.

We have a house in Sandy Creek and I haven't seen it but will look for it. It must be a tri-hull. Seems like a bit of overkill on a pontoon boat unless it was designed for travel in the ocean (hence the twin screws). I don't think I would necessarily take a pontoon boat where the waves could be that big but maybe it would be fine. As for buying the gas, between the 285hp volvo on my boat and two jet skis, I will not throw any stones. I am doing enough to bolster Chevron profits. :-) Just close your eyes and imagine water at 490 feet and gas at $1.25 / gallon. Mix in martini's and a orange sunset and ahhhhhh

The pontoon boat is a 'Premier' brand and according to their website it must be a 'Boundary Waters' model. It's largest list as 31' 4" is the only one close enough to handle that horsepower.

Mercury was testing a pontoon on Lake X a few years ago with a single 300X. This was a tri hull pontoon and it ran 80. But If I spent $65K on something it better go a heckuva lot faster than 60 mph!

You are correct about that being a Premier Pontoon. I bought mine at Water Scape Marine this summer, and they told me about the one you are talking about. It must be the PTX model. My PTX has just a 250 Yamaha, and I really do not know the top end yet because it pegs my odometer at 50.

Yep, seen it for myself. Right up close and personal. Relax, it is only a pontoon boat! Who cares about top speed. The man has a wife and family to entertain! And, he has to fill his need for power. Look closely, and you may find a Cathouse Marine sticker on it. LOL. Things that make you go hhhhmmmm.... By the way, Bling it on is gone to KY.

Not sure if it's the same boat or not but there is one with twin-350's on it that was purchased from Harbor Point early summer by a family in Auburn that owns T & R Motors and several other used car lots....

Wrong boat... I believe anyway. I did not measure anything. I'll say this, it is a sweet pontoon boat. Nicest I have seen ever. Was expensive also. Seats, carpet, etc. Best I have seen. It's home is Lake Martin, a very respectable family.

You have not seen the Bennington with a 620 hp stroker in it. Tops out at 60mph and has not had the outdrive matched yet. Should get 70mph before its all done.
