My wife & I wanted to get out last night. We went to Auburn and ate at Santa Fe Steakhouse. It was ok. Just not as exciting a meal as I had heard. They have a ceiling fan in the bar that is like 20 ft in diameter. Its HUGE. so afterwards we thought "whatdahey" lets go to the "CASINO" <<< as some call it. If you havent been in awhile you wont beleive it. Its the old dog track (still running dogs too). The place has a fountain out front with a minature water show, escalators to take you upstairs, a buffet restuarant with shrimp and crab legs every night for $19.95 and everyone there was so friendly. We stayed about 3 hours and wish we would have had supper there instead. So, if your up for loosing some cash for a little enjoyment check it out. I was surprised how modern and clean everything was there. Oh, and you get free sodas while there but, I am not sure about beer or mixed drinks.
If Vegas isnt careful , Shorter will catch up oneday...lol

amen on that. If you haven't been in a while you won't believe it. It is nice. The beer is like $1.25. Hard to beat. We go there and watch sports (football on Thur night is great) on all of the TVs, and play simulcast dogs and horses occasionally. 4 or 5 guys, eating dinner, staying for like 3 hours, and our bill was under $40.

is it smoke filled? Can a non smoker stand it- I cannot stay 10 minutes at the casino in Cherokee NC- it has the worse ventilation of any.

Yeah, A little smoke, but there is a non-smoking section somewhere there. My wife & I dont smoke either but, it did not bother us what little we could tell. I did notice a lady smoking at one machine so, we avoided sitting there. When we left we could smell a little smoke on us but, not as bad as I have seen it in some place...
