the Lake! What a great weekend at the lake. Weather was fabulous on Saturday and very nice on Sunday. Minimal boat traffic, moderate temps and a few leaves starting to turn. And, the water at a level I have never seen this time of year. Think I'll vote for a Lake Martin win any weekend this season........

Oh So True. I think it going to be great all this week. Life is good on the Lake.

When I read this post I could only grind my teeth as I am a weekender and this weekend was spent working rather than being at the lake on such a great weather weekend. You should both be ashamed of yourselves making me feel so bad! ;-)

I know it must be cruel and unfair. I can easily recall the last several years where I felt the same as you. Everyone was enjoying the Lake, and I was dreaming of it in Virginia.

The next evening or two should be a wonderful time to glide out into the dark in the pontoon and stare up at the stars.

Just took a Sea Doo ride. Only saw one other boat. Not quite slick as glass, but nice.

May both of your pontoon boats sink (of course without you guys on them- LOL)

And may your docks both sink as well. Well febs already has at his age - LOL.

Just go right ahead and rub it in Jim, just remember pay back is h3ll and I l know were you live and I need to do a little 50 caliber target practice.

Heck at the rate I am going can somebody please bring we back some water from Lake Martin so I can place it on my desk at work. Sort of like when in our younger days we use to bring back sand from the beach for our friends. As it will probably be at least a month or so before we get back down to PARADISE !!!!!

PS - Oh yea Jim cannot wait to meet your wife and tell her about the comment you made on the forum regarding her. I will bet I have never seen you run so fast.

Take it easy on me Mav. When we got down Friday night we didn't have power. Just the three houses on my point. Had been down for about three days, so we lost everything in the refrig and freezer. Rough start on the weekend having to have a warm beer!

I agree the lake is in good shape and it's been a beautiful fall......the water level is doing well, however it's still lower than '03 and '04 for the same time period.

But, you have the extended boat ramp you slaved over last year. LOL

I am sitting here looking at the water sparkle as I type this. I was on my dock (meaning pier) some last evening until it got too cool for a short sleeve shirt.

I haven't been on my dock much lately, but at least I can look at it every day. I took the month off to help with the construction at my dad's place and I've been over there for about 12 hours every day including weekends; It's always getting dark by the time I come home at night and I often don't make it home for lunch as I did today. If you're looking for something to do, you should come take a look.
