Anyone know the story on an apparent new restaurant going into the old Susie Qs? I saw a lot of discussion several weeks ago that stopped without further notice. Now I see a new sign at the end of Castaway road announcing "coming soon Harbor Docks Restaurant". Also have noticed some repair activity going on around the old location. Anyone know the story? Also haven't heard anything else about an Oscars II possibly coming to this side of the lake. Is that a dead on arrival rumor? Hope not as it would go over great on this side of the lake especially given the closures of the hotel and borderline in Tallassee

We were at Oskars on Sunday, (eating the best chicken and dressing in the whole world) and I asked her. She said she had heard that rumor and she was doing all she could do to keep the 49 location open. She will not open another. Weekends are ok for her, but the weekdays are a killer. Let's keep her open!

Harbor Docks opened a location in T-town last year I think. Would it be the same owners from Destin? I LOVE THAT RESTAURANT! Best gumbo in Destin in the winter!

there are two at the crossroads The Cafe will be open on Tuesday and Spring House will be opening early next year from what I heard. Everybody should have received there free breakfast card by now. looks like it will be the two best in the lake area if you don't count Yellow Hammer as being in the area

We were there Saturday night. The food was wonderful, but the menu has shrunk considerably and the place was only half full. I hope it doesn't go out of business.

it was open tonight, when I rode by there about 6:30 PM they were having an Alex City Chamber function there.
