Hey, there's a new Mexican restaurant in Dadeville (La Posada). It's in the old KFC bldg. Exc. food &service, extensive menu, family owned. We just had a our 2nd meal & they are consistant, top notch!

I ate there right after they opened a few weeks ago. The food was very good. The manager was great...very good customer relations skills. At the time I ate, they did not have their beer license yet. Also, a car went through the side window which they had to board up until replacement.

According to an article in the paper, this owner also has a successful mexican restaurant in Birmingham. I believe the menu here is the same as that one. I believe it will be a great place to eat if the people support it.
Anyone know if he has the liquor license yet? ...sure need a beer with my chips and salsa....

I tried it also. VERY good. Buit on the other side we lost Chick-A-Dee on Friday. I was out and saw a couple of cars there and decided to stop and get chicken. One of the ladies told me they were just cleaning the place out because they had closed for good. But that is a horrible location for an eatery

Not at the lake, but there is a pretty good Italian restaurant in Wetumpka... (not NYC equivalent Italian of course, but it's not bad... LOL)

O.K.....all this talk drove me back to LaPosado....again the food was great...the beer was cold with frosted glass provided.....the kid waiting on me was so nice....I love this place and hope it makes a go of it....

OK Big you are now on the hook.
Going there on Thursday for dinner and if the food is not as good as you say or the beer is not as cold as you have stated or the service is not up to par, we are going to send Rude the bill. - LOL.
Hope it is in fact as good as all have stated as nothing better than a nice Mexican dinner with cold beer and a Margarita or 2.

lol....my food was very good...domestic beer $2.95, imported beer $3.75. margaritas 4-7 bucks approx. depending on size...food prices very reasonable, drink prices a tad pricey for somebody like me spoiled
with the 1.50 beer at Niffers....service will be jam up without a doubt....and I am sure that rude will be glad
to pay...excellent idea...

The name is Casa Napoli (sp??). It is on the hill on the right side between Wetumpka and Montgomery.
I've also heard that the buffet at the dog track in Shorter is very good also with everything from prime rib to crab legs. I haven't been yet but all of my kin and friends that have been said it was really good! I also plan on trying the lunch buffet at the Indian Casino in Wetumpka on Wednesday for $4.95 it sounds like a great deal.
