okay, just had my 2nd meal at the new Mexican place in Dadeville. my 1st trip there was before the thread of a few days ago about it, but didn't comment. my husband and i had different plates than our 1st visit. cheese dip just as good as 1st time...nice thickness and flavor. we ordered different meals each this time and wow ....their food is really good. we both chose a combination the 1st trip...you know, just to check it out. this visit we ordered "specialty" items. i had shrimp fajitas....really good. not greasy, onions and peppers still had a slight crunch....about 15 shrimp..... my husband had tampiquena (this is our favorite thing to order at Superior Grill in B'ham) it was good. you get an entire skirt steak and cheese enchilada. he was very happy. he did say he would have liked some melted butter to dip his steak in, but anyway he was pleasantly surprised.
MAVERICK, while there Bruce called because he was passing thru Dadeville and said he was thinking about us. we told him where we were and he said you were eating there this evening....now, Bruce would say i don't have a shy bone in my body and thought i would be willing to stand up and say M A V E R I C K..... well, i couldn't do it. we were there around 6pm....i would have liked to say hello, but couldn't bring myself to do it.
let's keep these folks in business!!! oh ohohohoh....they have great pico de gallo!

another thing about the place....i love the colored fluorescent lights that keep the place with a fun ambiance. not to mention all the streamery things hanging from the ceiling.
....obviously the margaritas are good because this is probably my longest post on this forum ..ever...=)

We went there for lunch today. I have to say that the food seemed very fresh and it ws tasty. I would have been a little happier with a little more spice, but DH was quite pleased with his dish. The service was nice too.
Thanks to everyone who recommended the place. We live on the Alex City side, but we're willing to drive a distance for good Mexican.

OT you would have been yelling in vain as we did not make it.
Lets just say a long new years day of football, kids and leftovers.
But next time at the lake I will drop you an email and see if we can meet up and I will call Bruce and shame him into coming as well.

I'll second that. Hope they do well. Been there twice and enjoyed every morsel. For those of us with a bit of a touchy stomach, not being too spicy is a plus.
