Ok, posted the link earlier, but now I will comment.

All of these "leaders" were praising him. He gave in, now they are making demands. He will realize that no matter how he spoon feeds them that he cannot satiate their hunger for hatred of the US. Give them an inch they will want a mile etc. Obama will give them everything, and they will hammer him on return. AND it will be at our cost. Very sad.

I think Fidel is just trying to convince everyone he isn't dead. He always makes these outrageous statements, but the fact is that he has no means to enforce anything. I think he just likes to play to his buds - the idiot in Venezuela and the idiot in Iran.

I feel certain that Obama wants to reach out to the Cuban people. Why they haven't overthrown Castro is just beyond me. But apparently without the support of their relatives in the US, they would be even more hurt than they are.

The Cuban People have been hammered by propaganda for over 40 years. No independent spirit remains. What? Start another revolution? The latest one got them Fidel and complete poverty. Throw banana leaves at government troops?
Stop the embargo. Let US/International business start seeping into Cuba's infrastructure, and see how long the Castro Brothers can hold out against prosperity??
