Suppose a certain someone from out of town was headed to Lake Martin from the north. What would be the easiest and quickest way to get to a ramp that would be conveinent to the Marina Marin area. I have kin folks there and would like to put in and take out as close as possible. I spent time there as a teen.. and have been back a few times but never pulling my boat. Thanks for the help,

I think there is a ramp at the end of Old Tree Road, which is the road you take to go to Marina Marin.

If your folks live within the Marina Marin development, they have their own boat ramp. It is locked but owners should have a key. If not, there is a ramp at Bama Park which is right across the slew from MM.

I would like to surprise them, so the boat ramp at bama park would be best I guess. Thank you both for the info.... Any more would be helpful... as I haven't been on LM in about twenty five years....

If there is still a ramp at Bama Park it is only for use by property owners there or their guests. The nearest ramp is the public ramp on Centerport Road. That's the road that takes you to Chuck's Marina but it's down the road about a mile from there, after the S-curves.

Bama Park has been private for 15 years or more now.

You have to have a code to get into Bama Park. They keep the gates locked.
