Now even the dems are starting to realize this guy is dangerous. Here is a quote related to Obama's plans for new laws that will raise electric prices 40%. Oh yeah, he cares about the little guy. Unless of course he is just going to give them more money to pay for the higher prices and inflation this will cause.

-------------------

Senate Democrats are breaking with President Obama over his plan for sweeping new climate-change laws that he says will rake in billions of dollars to help offset massive budget deficits while increasing electric utility rates 40%.

During the campaign, he said that he would "bankrupt the coal" industries. Those who voted for him were listening.... right?

and yet PA, the largest cola state in the union voted for him. Of course they also voted for the racist, biggotted idiot murtha. Apparently coal miners and PS rednecks ain't to bright.

“I thought the prices, the screen, the action, the sense of a vortex down that cannot be stopped, of equities becoming worthless, of savings becoming tattered, of a stock market without bottom,” Cramer said. “But this time in slow motion, I felt the total lack of control that we all feel right now - the ‘it’s out of my hands,’ the ‘where’s the authority,’ the, ‘Hey, it’s amateur hour at our darkest moment.’ It’s the feeling of capitalism vanishing, businesses capsizing under their own weight - thanks to an administration that doesn’t seem to know or maybe doesn’t care.”

Jim Cramer - CNBC, previous Obama syncophant now has buyers remorse as of March 3 2009. How bout you Hound? Is Obama what you thought he was?

Obama as of yet. What I do have a problem with is politicans on BOTH sides of the aisle acting like this is business as usual. I think Republicans are trying to hold onto the past, and I think the Democrats are in serious denial.

My basic gut feeling is that life is fundamentally changed and now is the time to figure out how to live in this new world. Because life as we've known it is over.

I can hardly embrace a Republican party being led by Rush Limbaugh.

Rush Limbaugh is a cheerleader, and a danmed good one at that. He doesn't set Republican policy - but if what he says makes sense maybe it will influence policy. Anything wrong with logic and reason?

I find your comments about life being fundamentally changed to be particularly troubling. I, for one, am not ready to give up my way of life and will do whatever I can (legally) to preserve it. I don't need a bunch of crooked Chicago politicians trying to change it for me. Go ahead, say I am in denial. I am , but what I am in denial of is a cest la vie attitude like yours. Go ahead, roll over and play dead if you wish. I refuse to.

why do you believe that life as we have known it has to be over? Because Obama thinks it should be different? Do you agree that he is destroying capitalism and moving us to socialism?

We the people say what we want ... the american people voted him in, but he never would say what "change" was. They voted for something different not knowing what it was. You need to stand up and say enough ... congress will listen. We do not have to bury our heads and let Obama destroy this country.

Hound, you've missed the strategy. Limbaugh is not out to convert those like you who elect your president based upon skin color and hype rather than ethics, experience and credibility. It's aimed at independents who will check his message out without the filter of the MSM. And I'll put Rush's message broadcast to 20 million up against Obama's and his bully pulpit any day of the week.

BTW, if decimated life savings, a 30% drop in the Dow since inauguration, Trillion dollar pork laden budgets, trillion dollar bailouts of failing companies, deficits that our children will be unable to pay off, Hillary's proposal to give 20 Billion to the Pali's and Obama's war against those who have the only means to charge this economy via nonviable taxation is not enough for you to have a problem Obama, what would it be that would put you over the edge? Just curious....

Limbaugh is nothing more than a radio entertainer who is preaching to his niche audience. I have listned to him a time or two and frankly, I can't believe people take him seriously.

You believe what you believe. You can fight it all you want, but the day of McMansions, living on credit cards, and investments that grow by leaps and bounds are over. But then, you probably weren't talking about that, were you? I think it is a new life of lowered expectations.

I don't think it has a thing to do with Obama. The new economic reality is moving us in a new direction. I don't think anything that Obama does is going to make a huge difference. It's just the tip of the iceberg. The fundamental change is being driven by the economy.

I think the new world has to do with lower expectations and lower rewards. People are going to have to start living within their means. The gap between the haves and have nots will be much bigger. I am wondering if we will be able to hold on to our "super power" status.

I think a lot of people that thought Obama would save them are going to be disappointed.

Limbaugh is an idiot. Pure and simple. And all of you who listen to him are drinking the kool aid. He speaks for a small niche market, and he needs that market to keep his job, so he tells you what you want to hear.

The current situation has been in the making far longer than Obama has been running for President. I no longer expect the government to fix the problem.

"Limbaugh is nothing more than a radio entertainer who is preaching to his niche audience. I have listned to him a time or two and frankly, I can't believe people take him seriously."

That is your quote from a previous post. Now you have the audacity to judge his mental capacity and disparage those who choose to listen to him.

I can only conclude that it is you who is lacking in the ability to carry on logical or intellectual discourse, not Rush Limbaugh.

I will believe and I will fight. After all, as it is said "if you don't stand for something you don't stand for anything".

I don't run to the radio to listen to RL. In fact, it has been about a year since I have tuned in. On his radio show he is a bully. However, his talk at CPAC (have you seen it?) struck the chords of logic and reason -- something you liberals seem to have a problem with.

Maybe I fall into a category that might be called a silent majority. I have no affinity for guns but in the past three months have procured both a semi-automatic handgun and what is called by some an "assault rifle" - although as a retired career military officer and citizen soldier I WILL NOT assault anyone unless life and limb is threatened. It may not stop there. I do this NOT because I want to but because what I see makes me think I NEED to (emphasis added). Right now I am formulating contingency plans to protect my property and family, should anarchy set in. And this comes from a person whose arsenal six months ago consisted of a 1957 J. C. Higgins single shot 22 rifle.

Why can't you realize that the change that you voted for may well put this country into chaos? Have you ever lived in Omaha, Nebraska? Biloxi, Mississippi? Montgomery, Alabama? Do you have a freaking clue as to what mainstream America wants? No, you lived in the beltway cocoon - which I did as well for four years - and DO NOT have the experience to be in touch with the real America.

He!! no, I DO NOT accept that life has fundamentally changed. Am I angry at your assertion? Guess for yourself.

People are going to have to start living within their means. That is 100% true. Hound, you hit the nail on the head. I know many here disagree with you including me . The more I read your posts the more sense you make. I do think life as we knew it has gone forever.

I have been around for 62 years. No other times in my life have been like this. I feel sorry for the ones who did not pull their money from the market when warned. I doubt they will ever get it back. Listen to the brokers, oh let it stay!!
It was a story of riches to rags.

Lady luck deserted investors and punters during 2008 and the first two months of 09 with stock markets losing over 50 trillion, a figure that not many would know carries how many zeroes. I just wish I knew what to do with my money. I am beginning to worry about banks.

I'm living at Lake Martin right now. And I grew up in NJ; and have family in NJ, FL,PA, ME and AZ, so I'm hardly wrapping myself in a Washington cocoon. If anything, my time spent in Washington only serves to make it clearer to me what is happening.

People voted for change because that's what people do when they get scared. They felt their government had lied to them. Whether you wish to believe it or not, people want to believe that their government will protect them and keep them safe. In the meantime, our government (and I'm talking in the very broad sense here, not politically) has been taking a short term approach to a long term problem. The day of reckoning is here.

I hear Democrats babbling and Republicans babbling, and experts with theories but the truth is that no one knows how to "fix" the problem -- if they did, they would push it and come out the hero. This is a much different problem than just a slow down of our economy. So the politicos just point fingers at each other and blame each other in hopes that it will divert attention away from the fact that the problem isn't going away.

The truth is that you can arm yourself all you want, but it won't stop the fundamental changes that are taking place. You can be mad as _ell about it too, but that won't stop it either.

I think I'm pretty in touch with reality.

You know that there is a split within the Republican party. They can't decide what they want to be and who they want to lead them. If there is any hope for them, they have to find a leader and in my view (and don't forget, I've voted Republican up to the last election), Rush Limbaugh is not the leader they need. He's too negative, and the politics of fear and negativity isn't going to cut it. People are tired of politicans being polarized.

Rush Limbaugh is nothing more than a male Ann Coulter. If this is what's left of the Republican Party, then shame on the leaders of the party(if there are any)

Not sure that is a bad thing .... but I am sure a liberal like you would see it that way.

You know it is kind of interesting, if you feel this socialist agenda is so right for our country, why has it failed elsewhere. Also, if you think people should be taxed more so government can expand, have you been sending your surplus dollars to Washington? Or are you like most liberals, tax someone else not me. You like penalizing other peoples success so they pay more and you pay less. Yes that makes a lot of sense to kepp taking more from people that create jobs and spending. That will really stimulate the economy. Let's also penalize businesses when the economy is weal so they can't afford to create jobs and have to raise prices to cover higher energy costs.

As it has been pointed out ... we are heading back to the Carter years with stagflation and high interest rates due to governments over spending. Do you remember the 12% inflation, 16% mortgage rates and 11% unemployment. Those were great times.

Thank God Reagan came in to clean up the mess the democrats gave us. Or did you consider those great times. I hope you enjoyed them because that is right back to where we are headed.

I saw on the news today that the GOP has it's lowest credibility rating ever. And that's a shame. I know that you have stated before that you thought Republicans were right to stand on their beliefs, but public opinion is now showing that people are blaming them for a failure to compromise on the economy. They are being seen as part of the problem, not part of the solution.

They need to find new leaders. A lot of us are fiscal conservatives and likely to vote Republican, but there are certain key issues that I do not want dictated to me that have nothing to do with how the country is run.

What about the governor of Minnesota? He's a Republican and ever though that state is definitely liberal, he managed to get elected. I've heard him speak and always thought he sounded intelligent.

I agree on the govenor of MN. But i am quite sure that you heard the rest about the GOP on CNN. because i hear news just the opposite ... guess it depends on the media you get your news from.

Not sure about the channel -- I was in a waiting room and didn't notice which channel the TV was on. It had to be Fox, CNN or MSNBC because it was definitely a "news" show.
