I hear Head will have the big Fountain out on the water this weekend. Can't wait for the sound of freedom and the blur of the boat flying across the lake. I think he changed the name of his boat to CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!!!! Just Kidding He is very responsible and probably be out in the pontoon.

Yeah he's taking the Fountain out one last time before the "take back man" comes to get it. (That is if you listen to him whine) He says "there ain't no cop boat on the lake that can catch me". So I guess we"ll see this weekend.

Hardly the 'sound of freedom.' I don't mind the speed, as I'm sure it will be operated appropriately by a sober skipper, but that deafening sound robs other boaters of LM's tranquility. Please be mindful of your fellow boaters. Thx.

From state law:

Mufflers and Noise Level Limits

* A vessel's engine must have a muffler or exhaust water manifold for noise reduction or another effective muffling system.

* The use of cut-outs or exhaust stacks is prohibited.

* It is illegal to operate a powerboat or PWC, or allow others to operate, in such a manner that the noise level exceeds 86 decibels measured at 50 feet from the vessel. You must submit to a noise level test if requested by a law enforcement officer.

* It is illegal for recreational boaters to use or have on board a siren of any type while operating on the waters of Alabama.
