I heard on the news tonight that GM may go down to just Chevy and Cadillac. I have been thinking for some time that they needed to limit their product line.... Do you think I have a future as the CEO of GM? Maybe I should return to government employ now that they are going to run GM... (not on my life... smile)

Hound, like your spunk..
As long as GM keeps the Z-71 line of off road trucks, I'm a buyer.. As CEO of GM, don't forget us little guys, that work from our trucks and don't want to have to plug in the batteries to carry a load of stuff to the garden..

Ford needs to eliminate the Mercury brand. Mercury cars are either expensive Fords or less expensive Lincolns. Mercury is simply a rebadged clone of Ford vehicles.
I watched Ford assemble the Ford Ranger truck a few years ago and down the same assembly line came the Mazda truck. It was interesting to watch at the end how one became a Ford and the other a Mazda truck simply with a different dash, grill, and name plate. All the mechanical and body parts were identical.

I have a small amout of Ford Common Stock. At one point, a few years ago, I used to get a $10 dividend every quarter. Those days have been gone for a long time, but I have held onto my Ford stock with hopes that it will recover.
