So when does Obama own up that his programs are not working. All he wants to keep saying is that he inherited this recession. Yes he did, just like Bush inherited the recession after the tech bubble collapsed and then we were attacked on 9/11.

Bush and the republicans pulled us out of that and created real growth without spending $800 billion of tax payer dollars. So when does the Obama plan of bigger government spending start creating jobs for americans? The economy will come out of recession on its own from the federal reserve monetary policy ... is that what Obama is waiting for? If so, why did we need to WASTE $800 billion in tax payers money?

Spending half that on targeted tax cuts would have gotten the economy moving faster and we would have been out of the recession by now.

Why is it the liberals think they are not smart enough to spend their own money? They think that the government is smarter to spend it for them? Does not seem to be working, does it?

I agree with you, however, let's be objective.

All this bailout stuff started with Bush / Paulson giving AIG 150 Billion. Then they gave 200 to 300 Billion to over 200 banks. Then they said they would back 5 Trillion in bad debts if they failed. Luckily I don't think this has happened.

I don't think either party is looking out for our benefit. At this point I don't have any words of wisdom.

I really do not think Bush or Obama could do anything to stop what is happening now. This downturn started way back when NAFTA was passed. I think the ecomony in the US is going to sink more and many years will pass before we recovery. That is how I see it.

Don't disagree ... but those were loans ... the stimulus is spending and bigger government that will never go away. More is going to social programs than anything that will create a job ... that is why no jobs are being created. 20% of it is for tax credits related to evironmental projects (little if any will create a job).

If some of that money was spent in sending back the illegals then we would not have an unemployment problem. Other adminestrations have done so and it worked.
