This is not a joke but a true story which came back to mind this weekend. Several years ago I went into a wholesale/retail fish house in East Point near Apalachicola in the Florida panhandle to purchase shrimp. A weathered oysterman was complaining to the owner that a county building inspector had told him he would have to purchase a new building permit because he had not finished the house he was building himself in the required 2 year time limit. Thr owner of the establishment said "If some bureaucrat come around here telling me what I had to do I'd pick up dat shevel over in the corner and bash'im acrosst his face" He then looked over at me with a grin and continued "I can't always change a fellers mind but I kin shore change his looks".
