Where is the best location to find information for homes for sale on lay lake. Currently looking in the Paint Creek area.

Check out Lakehouse.com. They have some listings but most are for lots. The best thing to do is ride around in the area you are looking to buy in. Paint creek is wayyyyy out there. There are several for sale on the Talladega side up towards Beeswax and several for sale in Waters Edge and the Preserve(pricey)...

Sorry, should've put this in the previous post. What is your price range. The houses on either side of me are for sale. One is $200000 and the other can probably be got for $120-130000. There is one up on Lakeview Lane that was for sale for $129000. There are 2 or 3 more for sale on Lakeview but they range from $250000-$500000. A few in Waters Edge (Cedar Creek) and the Preserve (near Beeswax) for mid to high 300's. For the Coosa Co. area you just about have to ride around down there.

Are you familiar with the Talladega side of the lake? If so, to get to many of the houses for sale go to Russell Chappell road off of Childersburg-Fayetteville highway. When you get to the "Y" in the road take the right in front of the church. Go about 2 miles from there (past the entrance to Lay Lake Estates). Two roads past Lay Lake estates is Blue Heron Lane. I live on this street. There are 2 houses for sale on this street. If you keep straight past Blue Heron you are on Lakeview Lane and there are many houses for sale there. The road runs out about .5 miles after Blue Heron (at the water). There should be signs in the yards of all the houses for sale.

If you're interested in the Preserve then it's about .5 miles past Russell Chappell church (the "Y").

Do you know how to get to Paint Creek by road?
