4lakelivn's message, I think it would be interesting to hear more of the weekend wrap-up reports..... or maybe it's just me.

I went to lake on Saturday. Left Prattville towing in the rain. Rained on me all the way there, and was raining when I got there around 1:00. Ate at Sinclairs with friends (boat outside on trailer). Finally got in water at The Ridge boat ramp. Or somewhere over that way. Rode to Anchor Bay and hid under slips to avoid rain. During a period of NO RAIN I went and found MACKs house in Parker Creek and chatted with him. Loaded boat back on trailer and pulled home to Prattville in the rain. Next time, I'll believe the radar. :)

We decided to take our 15+ year old adopted pound puppy (got him when kids were small) for his first Lake Martin Memorial Day . He has arthritis, cataracts and a lame paw. We thought he'd like to lay around and hear the sounds of the beginnings of summer. Little did we know - he limped/waddled down to the sea wall and fell in (can't see, remember?). Our neighbor scooped him up and pulled him out. Lake Martin must have healing waters like Hot Springs, Arkansas. The dog stayed in and out of the lake the rest of the weekend after he found and easy entrance/exit. Kids next door shot fire works Sunday night and he disappeared. I found him by car headed up Madwind Road, headed back to our Georgia home. Guess he doesn't like fireworks.

The only other problem with that is he smelled like fish all the way home so he got his first bath of the season with tick and flea service. We didn't know it, but we have a lake dog. Won't bring him 4th of July though.

Tell the "lake dog" to rock on, our pound puppy enjoys the lake at least as much as we do. At the end of the weekend, we give her a childrens asprin, but she is still wiped out for the next day. She is the same way as yours with fireworks, but likes to go shooting firesticks....

just back to Bham from LM. I appreciate your taking time to find us, enjoyed the visit.
The CatBoat is not what I expected, though. First time I have been up close to a 38' rocket sled with 1000+ horsepower, exhaust sounding like the Giant in Jack and the Beanstalk is gargling at idle. Beautiful machine!!
Come by again on a clear day and I'll race you in my BassTracker/50 HP.

into the cabin cruiser he was riding beside coming out of the Ridge boat ramp slu he would have noticed the little Tahoe chasing him down to try and get him to drink that beer we always talk about. You could have had a nice cool cabin to hang out at and drink free beer instead of hiding under a aluminum shed. Don't you know aluminum and lightening do not go together? I tried to signal you but the loud exhaust was just too much to hear me. We chased for a few seconds but my 20' just couldn't handle the waves. Maybe next time.....

We were planning on coming by your place when we left MACKs, but it began to rain again. Now, yall can quit ribbing me about the noise... The mufflers were on. Somebody is going to take yall serious. Maybe next weekend will be sunny and warm.

Just watched some videos from Skater Boats. Man, that has got to be a thrill. Boats (Cats) looked very stable at speed, even with a chop.

Besides the Cat visit, it was Rain, Drizzle, Downpour, drizzle, downpour, burst of sunshine and humidity, drizzle, sunshine, monsoon,..... all the way thru today. My tomato plants are going crazy.
Spoiled a lot of boating plans, but, man oh man, to sit on a covered porch with a metal roof for 3 or 4 days, in a comfy recliner, reading a book in between naps, and just look and listen to the rain. Heaven.

in Jack and the Bean Stalk.
He never screamed at all,,, he merely growled. Dogs didn't even bark. Unlike a waverunner.

It didn't rain much on me up Little Kowaliga, but it was cloudy and a bit cool for swimming. So what did I do? Swim, of course. The boys wanted to get in the water, and since the three year old wanted to follow his big brothers, I had to be in the water as well.
