Hi everyone. I am new to the forum and fairly new to the lake. I have hung out on Martin since the mid 90s but just bought lake property in 2007 and have been enjoying it on a regular basis ever since.

I have been learning quite a bit since having a place on the lake and now need some outside assitance. I am looking for a way to lift my boat out the water from underneath. I have a wooden seawall with a floating dock but its not very likely that I will be able to build a boathouse to use a conventional lift. I have done some research on the internet and found one called an airdock that uses 3 flexible chambers to fill with air to lift the boat. This does not seem stable to me. Any advice, recommendations or general direction pointing out there for me? Any help would much appreciated (If this has been discussed before I apologize).

Thanks in advance.

I do not have one either, but have seen several. Check out Lake Martin Businesses from home page. Most all dock businesses can build a lift that operates from underneath. What I mean is that the lift mechanisms are under water and controls are mounted to dock via pole. Do not need an overhead lift.

I just finished a great deal of research on boat lifts and I am having one custom built and shipped direct from the manufacturer for my dad. By getting it custom built, we were able to get it set up exactly as needed for his boat, water depth, and some variations in his boat slip. I'm also planning to have them make one for me that will be similar to what you need (I don't have a slip or posts to put one on).
The cost is less than you will find from any local or online retailer for an all aluminum lift of similar quality.

BTW, this company manufactures lifts for 16 different brand names, so it's no small operation. Send me an email if you want more information.
