Some misguided individual has placed a load of junk on the side of Stillwoods Road off highway 34 in Tallapoosa Co.
This "stuff" includes at least two wheel chairs, pontoon seats and miscellaneous other items. To my knowledge the County does not have roadside pickup. If anyone has any interest in any of this material please help yourself. It has been sitting for about a month. Otherwise, I am going to bring a dump truck in the next couple of weeks and take it to a landfill. Lets hope that the a**h**e who put it there reads this post.

where is the land fill and how do you get access to it? I have about two dump truck loads of construction debris and junk I fished out of the lake. I need to take it somewhere. I had been taking the stuff to Sylacauga, but they have figured out it is comming out of the lake and made me quit.

Go to Alex City Hall for a permit ($7.00 for a pickup I think) and they will tell you where the dump is located.

I've used the Alex City Dump several times. Fee varies by the type of vehicle or trailer you drive, but the dump is real close to downtown. Phone number is in phone book for times they're open. No garbage (food stuff will not be accepted), no paint.

If you have garbage dumped on county road, call Tallapoosa County Commission Administrator and raise h*ll.

Take highway 34 toward Pleasure Point turn right out one mile on Cricket to Stillwoods on the right. About one mile off 34. Cricket is about one mile past the Rodeo Club.
