Ok. Not much of a fine dining guy but just ate at Christopher's, hope I spelled it right, for the first time. Live here full time and have eaten at all of the local joints and and boy was the food great. My lady had the pasta and I had the chicken and Swiss sami and their cheese grits. Keeping with the forum food dining guide updates, I just wanted to tell all you folks that you need to eat here and see that the Cove has been replaced with a truly great place to dine. The tab was reasonable and I'm going back. It was date night and it did not disappoint us. Great service and great owners. You will not be underfed.

My wife and I have eaten at Christophers twice now. The Sashimi Tuna is great. The Caesar salad was big enough for both of us. The filet was great. We sat outside both times and were treated like Royalty. I recommend giving them a shot.

IMHO, you are paying for the atmosphere. The food is good, but the service and the view were unbeatable. All restaurants, besides the fast food joints are pricey.

Agree with Bama. While the food and service may be great, IMHO a resturant in that location must have the support of the locals for year round success. With those prices I don't think they will.

i agree--in my opinion, Niffers has the perfect menu//price point for the lake for consistent [2-3 times a week ] dining; christophers--nice but pricey cuts it to once a month visit for me & most people have told me the same

The samis are no more than Niffers or Oskars, both of which i like as well. I went there again last night. Bunch of beer, 2 samis and a bill of $32. Best part is it is so much food I always have lunch for the next day.

A 'duh' question, I'm sure. What's a 'samis'?

Love Christopher's...hope it stays around. It's nice to have a good restaurant around and we plan on visiting or getting take out at least once a month or more from the place.
