I got some Wasp&Horneet spray and sprayed them. If you can find the holes they have drilled spray into the hole. Sometimes two will back. Don't know how many you have so you may have to use more than one can.

spray the hole, then caulk it--works every time

We had them at our house in Montgomery. Interesting little buggers. They drill one inch holes and then turn at right/left angles and go about 2 feet, lay their eggs and then are gone. Little ones hatch out, start over again. I ordered some special spray from a Pensacola Florida company. ( off internet ). Have to spray hole then put down dust to kill larvae when hatch. Spraying the hole and caulking will work, cuts off air supply to larvae. I live in Manoy Creek area.

Have used spray but can not reach wholes to caulk. Does anyone know a handyman type who could do this? Thanks to all!

I had the same problem for the past few years. I got the below bug man involved and had my house sprayed for $175. Best money that I ever spent (besides a case of beer). I have not had a problem since. They recommend every 3 months for the spray, but I am going to do it evey year in the early Spring since that is when I seem to have the problem.

Edge drinks expensive @ $175. Natty Light is much cheaper and does the same job

http://www.carpenterbees.com/ It will tell you their mating habits, females vs. males and what to do to control them. Females are the problem. Ha!
