Yep have to agree, from looking at the weather radar looks like severe storms over the lake till around 4:00pm or so. Hope they dissipate otherwise we are in for a gully washer and high winds.

We went out for an early ride to find the lake access to the Springhouse. Drove up to the rock and decided to come back and finish some work around the yard before going back out. Just finished when the darkness, wind and rain came. Radar now shows the back edge of the current storn to around sylacauga and moving quickly SE. Clearing behind it.

The trees were blowing sideways and the lightning was intense as it passed over, but now it's just light rain down here at our place....I'm sure glad I wasn't far away out on the water!

Look like we lucked out as on North end right now just light rain and the wind is calm for the most part.

This may be like yesterday. Rain and then cleared off fairly nice. Hope so, have a portabello sauce marinated pork tenderloin that is going on the egg later this afternoon.

I saw three boats a little south of Ridgeview Point at different times during the storm. Brave or loco you by the judge.

we stayed in! thank goodness...Sandy Creek was crazy. the trees were swirling and tons of rain. electricity fickered off and on a few times....still a little sprinkle (or maybe it's from the tress?) ...anyway, got 2 inches of rain and a lot of limbs down. thankfully the limbs missed the screens!

The storm was vicious, but what a beautiful ending to the weekend...We just took a sunset cruise; the water was like glass, the humidity was down, and the temperature was perfect!!

Our power/internet/cable went out in Parker Creek at 1:15pm. The storm winds were very intense. On the way to the PC Marina I passed a gorgeous house on a big water point that had it's tin roof peeled completely off!

We just got power back in Parker Creek, west side. All my neighbors and I agree that was the most vicious wind we have seen on the Lake. No major damage but my boat broke loose from one of the mooring whips, some damage to prop, and my garden was got whalloped. Couple of big pines found their way to the ground in the woods next door.

It was nice and calm afterwards, but now let's talk about that lift!! Possibly even a boat house.

It hit really hard in the Oakachoy section of Parker Creek. As PC stated, the power and cable went out in the early afternoon and ours stayed out until after mid-night. Thank goodness for the back-up propane generator.

I have two large pieces of heavy cast aluminum furniture missing off the dock. Other pices were moved about. I will have to fashion a grappling hook and do some snagging. Both boats in the boat house were OK, but a small jon boat was torn from its mooring and adrift (subsequently recovered). Our gourd house was destroyed, and we are hoping there were few if any guest.

Rain gauge showed over three inches. We were rather fortunate (damage wise), but I suspect there was a lot of it on this section of the Lake.

That was the worst storm I had seen in a long time. No damage to my property thankfully. Unfortunately on the small side of the 49 bridge there was a house that had a tree that decided to take out their boat house. Didn't hit the boats thankfully but the roof is now a pringle chip. Only got 5/8" of rain in the Blue Creen area but looked like the winds were upward of 60 mph steady gusting at times to 70 or higher.
