Anyone with ny info on how the storm Mon nite/Tues Morn went in the Eastern Blue Creek/Barron Bridge area please respond. From the radar it looked pretty intense. We got hammered Sunday pretty bad...didn't need another one this quickly. Thanks.

I was parked at Blue Creek Marina during the storm. It ripped a bimini top and boat cover off a boat parked in front of me. I have not seen that much rain and wind in years. My truck was rocking so I thought it might turn over. Driving back to Sandy Creek after the storm most damage looked like down tree limbs and debris. I would not have wanted to be on the water during that one.

My father in law has been in the same place for almost 40 years and he said he had never seen wind that strong down there.

Are we talking about Sunday?

Or was there a storm on Monday as well.

As best I can tell from weather.com Monday and Tues were Sunny.

Weather Radio woke me up several times last nite - early morning, lots of wind and lightning, only about 1/4" of rain in the guage just north of Eclectic.

just got a phone call from my son from the lake. we had a big hickory tree fall and hit the patio and smash the bbq grill. we are in holiday shores.

think cutting up a hickory tree on father's day weekend will count towards getting a new green egg?

It will if you tell your children they have to cut it up.

There was a storm Monday night. Lots of lightening and rain, but no wind.

jalzc - we have a weather radio in Bham and now at the lake as my wife is gun shy as we have had 3 trees land on the house in Bham. So now any tornado warnings and she is in the basement with the kids ASAP. So wanted to ensure if she was asleep she would be awakened in server weather.

Nice thing about the ones we purchases you can set the Alerts bases on the severity for example do not alert for Thunderstorm Watch or Warnings, but do alert for Tornado Watch, but not for warnings.

Have to say sure is nice as also battery back up in case the electricity goes out.

So Bham setting are High Wind and Tornado Warning only and Lake settings are the same as Bham, but have added Thunderstorm Warning as well.

Let just say the best $60.00 I have ever spent.

We had a decent amount of wind in the Bay Pine area. The windows were open under the porch and several picture frames and papers were blown about the living room. Luckily there was no major damage on the yard or anything like that.

What kind is it? It sounds much better than the one we have and I think I'd like to get one.
I'm in your wife's school of thought.

That wind blew over a concrete table my great-grandfather made probably 35 years ago. Weighs a ton (and I scarcely exaggerate.) I wouldn't have though anything short of a tornado could move it. We didn't think to take down the sun umbrella and once that wind got traction -- it was Mary Poppins time!
