I hope everyone has a SAFE and happy 4th, and remembers what the holiday is about and why it is so important. With the rampant rumors of more layoffs at Russell Lands on the horizon, I especially want to wish those employees and middle management who will likely lose their jobs at the end of the month an especially memorable, safe, and enjoyable "last hurrah." As we all watch the fireworks tonight, lets all remember Red Blount, Ben Russell, and the countless employees and managers of their respective companies who worked so hard while still employed so that we could ALL enjoy our holiday just a little bit more.
The 4th on Lake Martin is like nowhere else. Enjoy it to its fullest, and keep faith and your nose to the grindstone!

I'm a newbie here and I must say, this board continues to amaze me with such positive, heart-felt posts like this one.

I've read a few of your posts over the last couple of months and it sounds like you have a huge axe to grind with Russell Lands. Care to share your thoughts and how you've come upon these "rampant rumors"? I'd also like to know why Russell Lands appears to be a weeping sore that you continue to pick at.

Catherine - you have been gone too long. You should have been here last night - the fireworks show put on by the demons at Russell Lands lit up the illegal hazardous waste dumps that have been so hard to see in the past.

Catherine, telling people they are going to lose their jobs is pretty bold. I would hate to be employed at RL and suddenly fear for my job because of a rumor. I hope you'll back up these comments with facts. I'm sure lots of people are highly upset over what you said in here..losing a job is serious stuff...life changing.....your comments have probably caused tremendous stress for these people. Please set the record straight and speak facts if you actually have them.
