Early prediction is that 15,000 are expected. It must be viewed by boat, road and land approach not allowed. If an average of 6 people per boat, thats 2,500 boats. Can that many boats be properly organized in Kowaliga Bay ? Watching a concert from 1/2 mile away doesn't appeal to me.The best spots will be taken by those who stake out(camp out) starting at 2PM the day prior to the show.

I think I'll just watch it on CMT this September.

This isn't a concert that you go to to enjoy the music, this is the kind of concert you go to so you can be part of a scene.

This is an event for those big cruisers that have heads & galleys. I don't think it would work for the popping in and leaving crowd.

Sea Ray folks are coming from all over the country. There will be some heavy fiberglass on the roads. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Kowaliga. The other boat ramps will be a disaster so I'd stay away from those too.

I DO think it is a great thing for the local economy and BTW will point up the inadequate notel accomodations around the lake.

I think 2500 boats is way low for what will be on the lake. I have talked to people planning to attend that never even heard of Lake Martin before finding out about the concert.

I think it will be a fun event and I'm glad we live close!

Do you have the cold beer already or will we need to remind you to get it before the big event?

Glad you mentioned that jlazc (live close), party at jlazc after the concert.

Make sure you put the ribs on prior to leaving for the concert and set the temp at around 225 - LOL.

Also make sure you have plenty of cold beer on hand as I think you will have about 15,000 guests at your house. Might need to borrow Lil Talis's Egg as well.

8 - if my understanding is correct, you won't be able to get close by foot or by cart. they will have that point walled off. Boat only. Unless you are a VIP, of course.
