Interesting gossip I hear sometimes...

here are 3 reasons why I think it is bunk that 600 foreclosures are "about to hit the market" - one I forgot was that right now there are about 530 waterfront properties for sale, so that would more than double the inventory and make it over 50% foreclosure.

To put it into perspective, that would be cataclysmic and put us the #1 worst market in the country. In the worst markets around the US, 1 in 4 or so are foreclosures.

i am not hearing anything like that--must be an auctioneer trying to spook the market--as a lender, i have never been busier with purchases on the lake--most are looking in the $500k-$2 mill range, vs. $3-$5mill years ago

Someone told me that there is only one mill in the state of Alabama that is running full shifts, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. It is the rumor mill at Lake Martin. :)
